From a simple conversation to reality
“Do you know what hairstyle to get? I just go to google and scroll through thousands of pictures of hairstyles only to get frustrated and anxious!” I recall these were the exact words I said to Simo when I first had the idea of Wave. During that call we both realized that before every haircut ever, we have had difficulties selecting a good looking haircut. Essentially our company, ByteTyde, was born from a mutual need to make choosing hairstyles easier.
In spring the of 2024 our first product, Wave, clinched 1st place in the student category at IdeaRace, the biggest South Karelia regional pitching competition and 3rd place at *Ship Startup Festival Pitch Captain Competition. Our journey from a simple conversation to winning IdeaRace and placing 3rd at *Ship with Wave is a testament to our dedication and vision.
